Carterton Farmers’ Market
A weekly local-produce market held in the centre of town at Memorial Square.ย Carterton Farmers’ Market offers a wonderful hub to the community, not to mention the amazing fresh fruit, veges, honey, crafts and more.
OPENING: The market runs every Sunday in November – May.
Plus the 2nd, 4th and 5th Sundays in June – October.
We open from 9:00am to 12:30pm under the shade of the trees in Memorial Square, Carterton. We move under the veranda on the pavement of SH2 opposite during Winter and poor weather.
Fresh, Local Produce
Our produce goal is simple – locally sourced where possible, reducing carbon-miles, maximising freshness whilst also supporting Wairarapa producers.
Meet Up For A Chat
We originally set up the market as an event – an occasion, a “thing to go to”. Our regulars continue to catch up at the market each Sunday ๐
Book A Stall
As of 1st September 2024, the stall charges are set as follows (subject to change):
- $15 per 3m x 3m space (one off)
- $10 per 3m x 3m space (3 months advance)
- Multiples thereof for more stalls
- Enquire for annual feature markets

Arbor & Autumn Sale 2026
Carterton Farmers' Market will host their annual Arbor Sale on Sunday, 31st May. The event will feature a variety of trees and shrubs that can be planted whilst dormant, as well as winter crops for the vege garden. https://www.facebook.com/events/1274159927580249
