Carterton Farmers’ Market
A weekly local-produce market held in the centre of town at Memorial Square.Β Carterton Farmers’ Market offers a wonderful hub to the community, not to mention the amazing fresh fruit, veges, honey, crafts and more.
The market runs every Sunday in Spring, Summer and Autumn
– plus the 2nd, 4th and 5th Sundays in Winter.
We open from 9:00am to 12:30pm under the shade of the trees in Memorial Square, Carterton. We move under the veranda on the pavement of SH2 opposite during Winter and poor weather.
Fresh, Local Produce
Our produce goal is simple – locally sourced where possible, reducing carbon-miles, maximising freshness whilst also supporting Wairarapa producers.
Meet Up For A Chat
We originally set up the market as an event – an occasion, a “thing to go to”. Our regulars continue to catch up at the market each Sunday π

We’re a small but perfectly formed market, selling local produce to regulars & new customers alike. Head down from 9am for fresh veg, honey, crafts & more.
Stallholders
New stallholders are welcomed. We just ask that your products are crafted, grown, processed or upcycled by yourself. Get in touch to join our market.
Annual Events
The Annual Plant Sale is a 40-50 stall event on the last weekend after Labour Day. We also run an Arbor Sale, plus Easter and Christmas events when we can.

A Complete Cow will be at the farmers market this Sunday! Claire has limited amounts of Scotch Fillets, Porterhouse and Rump so get in quick! She also has mince, sausages, a few roasts and bone broth bones. She is also doing a special on dog bones $5 a bag ![]()

Helen will join us as ever with Meadow, Bush and Premium Bush honey is - some creamed, some liquid honey too! Beeswax pieces and hand-dipped candles are also for sale, as well as natural lip-balms. Don't forget to ask her about refilling containers - she'll tell you how it works! Customers may arrange to have their own re-useable containers filled with the honey of their choice, or order bulk quantities of honey. Helen's Honey![]()
